Proposal of an Art Residency to

Community Recycling Centre in Auckland

An Artist Residency programme where artists are challenged to practice art-making in a recycling centre under a waste-conscious and sustainability-oriented context. By connecting the art community and recycling centres, CRCAR wants to create more possibilities for waste minimisation and provide an artistic contribution to our community’s sustainability goals. The first year of the CRCAR will be held in the Waiuku recycling centre, Helensville recycling centre and the Glen Innes Inorganic Warehouse.
